Orange Business & watchTowr partner to boost APAC security
Businesses in the Asia-Pacific region can now benefit from enhanced cybersecurity measures thanks to a new partnership between Orange Business and watchTowr, focusing on External Attack Surface Management (EASM) solutions.
The collaboration introduces the watchTowr platform, which employs simulated hacker tactics to continuously validate potential vulnerabilities in a company’s systems. This proactive measure aims to strengthen organisations’ security postures by identifying exposures before they can be exploited by malicious entities.
Elvina Liow, Vice President, APAC at watchTowr, highlighted the importance of this shift in cybersecurity strategies, stating, “Today’s channel excels at providing services that help detect breaches and respond to attacks. However, there’s significant white space in preventing attacks. That’s precisely what watchTowr offers: a platform to identify and validate exposures in customers’ attack surface before breaches happen. We also work closely with partners to support customers in effective remediation efforts.”
“By combining the power of our platform with Orange’s deep expertise in managed security services, we can deliver unmatched value to our customers, helping them strengthen their security postures.”
Orange Business will integrate its advisory and managed services with its cybersecurity subsidiary, Orange Cyberdefense, to facilitate the platform’s adoption. Initially targeting the Australian and wider APAC markets, the partnership aims for future global expansion.
The watchTowr platform, designed by offensive security experts and informed by ongoing real-world research, offers comprehensive attack surface visibility. This helps organisations quickly identify and validate weaknesses in both known and unknown assets, potentially averting attacks before they occur.
Philip Lee, Head of Security – APAC at Orange Business, emphasised the platform’s capabilities, “watchTowr is redefining how organizations approach attack surface management. Unlike legacy approaches that deliver ineffective audits or inaccurate assessments, the watchTowr Platform continuously validates ways hackers can gain access to a company’s systems. Since it’s fully external and agentless, it can be up and running in our clients’ networks within hours, delivering rapid value.”
The partnership between the global telecommunications operator, Orange Business, and watchTowr reflects a significant move towards proactive cybersecurity solutions, in an effort to pre-emptively thwart potential security breaches for businesses in the region and beyond.
